Nintendo Switch 2 Choose Your Game Bundle

Nintendo Switch 2 Choose Your Game Bundle Includes Three Game Options

Nintendo is offering a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle that lets buyers choose one of three digital games to accompany the console, with potential savings of up to $29.99 compared with purchasing the system and selected game separately.

The Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle is listed at $499.99 on Nintendo’s US store and includes a Nintendo Switch 2 system together with a Choose One download code. The code can be redeemed for a digital version of Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza or Pokémon Pokopia.

At the time of writing, the bundle is marked as sold out on Nintendo’s US online store, with customers directed to check participating retailers. Nintendo notes that availability is limited while supplies last and that the start and end dates of the offer vary by retailer.Nintendo Switch 2 Choose Your Game Bundle

Three Games Are Available With the Nintendo Switch 2 Bundle

The bundle includes a Choose One download code that can be redeemed for one of three Nintendo Switch 2 games:

  • Mario Kart World
  • Donkey Kong Bananza
  • Pokémon Pokopia

Only one game can be selected using the included code. Nintendo identifies all three available titles as exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.

The choice gives buyers some flexibility when purchasing the console. Instead of receiving one predetermined digital title, they can select the game they prefer from the three available options.

Nintendo advertises savings of up to $29.99 based on the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices when purchasing the system and game separately. Actual savings may vary depending on the selected title and retailer.

What Comes With the Nintendo Switch 2 Bundle?

Alongside the digital game code, the package contains the Nintendo Switch 2 console and its main accessories.

Nintendo lists the following items:

Included item Details
Nintendo Switch 2 Console
Joy-Con 2 (L) Light Blue
Joy-Con 2 (R) Light Red
Nintendo Switch 2 AC Adapter Included
USB-C Charging Cable Included
Nintendo Switch 2 Dock Included

The console supports handheld, tabletop and TV modes. When connected to a compatible display through the included dock, Nintendo Switch 2 can output supported games at resolutions of up to 4K. Nintendo notes that 4K output requires a compatible display and that frame rates are capped at 60 fps at 4K resolution.

Joy-Con 2 Controllers Introduce New Control Options

The bundle comes with a Light Blue Joy-Con 2 (L) and Light Red Joy-Con 2 (R).

Joy-Con 2 controllers attach magnetically to Nintendo Switch 2 and can be detached by pressing the release button on the back.

The controllers can also provide mouse-style controls in compatible games. Nintendo says they can be used on surfaces such as a table or a player’s lap, adding another input option beyond traditional controller use.

The right Joy-Con 2 also includes the C button, which provides access to GameChat.

GameChat Adds Communication and Screen Sharing

Pressing the C button on the right Joy-Con 2 can open GameChat, allowing users to communicate with friends and share their game screens in real time.

Nintendo Switch 2 includes a built-in microphone that automatically adjusts volume and filters background noise. Players who want to use video can connect the separately sold Nintendo Switch 2 Camera or a compatible USB camera.

GameChat sessions can only be started with people who have been added to the user’s Friend List.

Internet access, a Nintendo Account and Nintendo Switch Online membership are required for online features including GameChat. Nintendo also notes that the feature is not available in all countries and that additional requirements apply.

Nintendo Switch 2 Supports Three Play Modes

The bundle provides the same three primary ways to use Nintendo Switch 2: handheld, tabletop and TV modes.

Handheld mode combines the console display with the attached Joy-Con 2 controllers for portable play. In tabletop mode, players can position the console using its adjustable kickstand and detach the controllers.

TV mode uses the included Nintendo Switch 2 Dock to connect the system to a compatible television. Supported games can take advantage of resolutions of up to 4K, subject to Nintendo’s display and performance requirements.

This allows the same system to move between portable use, tabletop multiplayer and a traditional TV-based console setup.

Additional Nintendo Switch 2 Accessories Are Sold Separately

Nintendo offers a range of accessories for players who want to expand their setup beyond what is included in the bundle.

These include additional Joy-Con 2 controllers, the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, Nintendo Switch 2 Camera, Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip and compatible microSD Express storage cards.

Nintendo currently lists the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller at $89.99 and the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera at $54.99 on its US store. A Light Blue and Light Red pair of Joy-Con 2 controllers is listed at $99.99.

These products are sold separately and are not part of the Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle.

How the Choose Your Game Bundle Works

The central feature of the package is the choice of digital game.

After purchasing the bundle, the included Choose One download code can be redeemed for a digital version of Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza or Pokémon Pokopia. The buyer selects one title from the three eligible games.

The included code should not be confused with Nintendo eShop Gift Cards. The Choose One code is specifically tied to the selection of one of the three games included in the bundle offer.

Nintendo eShop Gift Cards work differently by providing credit that can be used toward eligible purchases through Nintendo’s digital store.

Nintendo eShop Credit Offers More Flexibility for Digital Purchases

The Choose Your Game Bundle is designed primarily for customers purchasing a new Nintendo Switch 2, but existing console owners may be looking for a different way to buy digital content without being limited to the games included in a hardware package.

Nintendo eShop Gift Cards provide that flexibility by adding funds to a Nintendo Account for eligible purchases. This allows the account holder to decide how to use the balance within Nintendo’s digital ecosystem rather than receiving a specific game as part of a console bundle.

Baxity Store offers Nintendo eShop Gift Cards in a range of denominations and currencies, alongside selected Nintendo Switch Online membership products.

Because Nintendo digital products can have regional and currency requirements, buyers should check the conditions of a particular code before purchasing and make sure it is compatible with the intended Nintendo Account.

For players who already have their Nintendo hardware, this provides a more flexible way to prepare for future digital purchases while choosing the content themselves.
