PlayStation Plus Adds Helldivers 2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and More in August

Sony has expanded the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for August 2026 with a substantial selection of PS5 and PS4 games. The lineup is led by Helldivers 2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Vampire Survivors and Hell is Us, alongside several other titles arriving throughout the month.

Helldivers 2 was the first major addition, becoming available to PlayStation Plus Extra members worldwide on August 12. Most of the other announced titles followed on August 18, while several games are scheduled to arrive on August 25 for subscribers in the US, UK and Japan.

PlayStation Plus Premium members are also getting two classics this month: Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Helldivers 2 Joins PlayStation Plus Extra

Helldivers 2 is one of the headline additions to the August catalog. The cooperative shooter from Arrowhead Game Studios allows teams of up to four players to battle alien forces threatening Super Earth.

Players take on the role of Helldivers and deploy across hostile planets with an extensive selection of weapons and equipment. Cooperation plays a central role in missions, particularly because friendly fire is always active.

The game’s arrival on PlayStation Plus on August 12 also coincided with a major new game update.

Helldivers 2 is available on PS5 through the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Comes to the Catalog

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is another major PS5 title included in the August PlayStation Plus lineup.

The action RPG follows Henry of Skalitz through 15th-century Bohemia. Beginning as the son of a blacksmith, Henry becomes caught in a story involving revenge, betrayal, discovery and civil war.

The game presents an open medieval world stretching from busy city streets to forests, with Henry’s journey eventually taking him from a blacksmith’s forge to the court of kings.

For subscribers interested in large single-player RPGs, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is one of the most substantial additions to this month’s Game Catalog.

Vampire Survivors Brings Its Bullet-Hell Action to PS Plus

Vampire Survivors is also part of the August Game Catalog for both PS5 and PS4.

The popular gothic horror game combines casual gameplay with rogue-lite elements. Players attempt to survive against hundreds of monsters, with player choices allowing them to become increasingly powerful as the challenge continues.

Its distinctive approach turns the player into the source of the bullet-hell action rather than simply asking them to avoid it, helping the game stand apart from more traditional survival titles.

Hell is Us Joins the August Lineup

PS5 players can also access Hell is Us through PlayStation Plus.

The third-person action-adventure game combines melee combat with exploration across a semi-open world. Its story follows Rémi, a United Nations peacekeeper who travels to an isolated country affected by internal conflict while searching for his missing parents.

His journey leads him into a mysterious calamity and encounters with strange creatures as he searches for answers about his past.

Availability differs by region. Hell is Us is scheduled to join PlayStation Plus on August 25 in the US, UK and Japan.

More PS5 and PS4 Games Arrive in August

The August update extends beyond the four headline releases, with Sony adding several other games across management, action, survival and multiplayer genres.

Two Point Museum joins the PS5 catalog and puts players in charge of designing and managing a museum. Curators can send experts on expeditions to search for rare artefacts and then use their discoveries to create new exhibits.

Metro Exodus is included for PS5 and PS4. The story-driven first-person shooter from 4A Games combines combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror across large, non-linear environments.

Dying Light 2 is another PS5 and PS4 addition. Players take control of Aiden Caldwell in a post-apocalyptic city where a virus has transformed much of the population into monsters. Combat, exploration, factions and player choices all play a role in Aiden’s journey.

Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash is also part of the PS4 lineup. The pixel-art party game features teams competing in four events: Hurtling Hurdles, Blazing Baskets, Dodgeball Demolition and Gourmet Gauntlet.

Hell is Us, Two Point Museum, Metro Exodus, Dying Light 2 and Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash are scheduled for August 25 in the US, UK and Japan.

PlayStation Plus Premium Gets Two Classic Games

Premium subscribers receive two additional classic titles alongside the main Game Catalog update.

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, originally released for PlayStation 2, becomes playable on PS5 and PS4. Set in feudal Japan, the action game follows Soki and his allies as they fight against the demonic Genma.

Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire is also joining the Premium catalog. Originally released for the first PlayStation, the game follows Milo Thatch and an expedition searching for the legendary lost civilization of Atlantis.

The PS5 and PS4 version includes several modern features, including up-rendering, rewind, quick save and custom video filters.
