Sony Confirms November 12 Launch for PlayStation Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers
Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that its new Pulse Elevate wireless speakers will begin launching on November 12, 2026. The speakers are the first wireless speakers developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment and are designed for use with PS5, PC, Mac, PlayStation Portal and compatible mobile devices.
The launch information was confirmed in an August 19 update to Sony’s original announcement. Pre-orders are scheduled to open on September 2 through participating local retailers, with availability varying by market and retailer.
Pulse Elevate will be offered in Midnight Black and White. In Southeast Asian markets covered by Sony’s announcement, recommended retail prices have been set at SGD 319 in Singapore, MYR 1,099 in Malaysia, THB 8,499 in Thailand, PHP 14,709 in the Philippines and VND 6,999,000 in Vietnam.
Pulse Elevate Expands the PlayStation Audio Lineup
Pulse Elevate joins Sony Interactive Entertainment’s existing range of PlayStation audio accessories, which includes the Pulse Elite wireless headset and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.
Unlike those products, Pulse Elevate brings PlayStation’s wireless audio technology into a dedicated speaker format. The system is designed for desktop gaming but also features a rechargeable battery that allows the speakers to be used away from a permanent setup.
Players can connect the speakers to PS5, PC and Mac, while portable use is supported with PlayStation Portal through PlayStation Link. Bluetooth connectivity also allows Pulse Elevate to work with compatible smartphones and other mobile devices.
Planar Magnetic Drivers and Built-In Woofers
Each Pulse Elevate speaker uses a studio-inspired planar magnetic driver. Sony says the technology is designed to reproduce lifelike sound across the audible spectrum, allowing players to experience game audio as developers intended.
On PS5, the driver technology also enhances games that support Tempest 3D AudioTech by positioning audio cues with greater accuracy.
The speakers include built-in woofers designed to deliver richer bass tones and create a fuller soundscape. Together, the planar magnetic drivers and woofers form the core of the Pulse Elevate audio system.
Built-In Microphone Supports Headset-Free Voice Chat
Pulse Elevate also introduces voice communication directly into the speaker system.
A microphone is integrated into the right speaker, allowing players to use voice chat without a separate gaming headset. Sony has equipped the microphone with AI-enhanced noise rejection technology designed to identify and reduce unwanted background noise during communication.
This gives desktop players another option for voice chat without requiring them to wear a headset while gaming.
PlayStation Link Provides Low-Latency Wireless Audio
Connectivity is built around Sony’s PlayStation Link technology. Pulse Elevate supports lossless wireless audio with ultra-low latency on compatible devices, including PS5, PC, Mac and PlayStation Portal.
A PlayStation Link USB adapter compatible with USB-C ports will be included with the speakers.
Pulse Elevate also supports simultaneous connections through PlayStation Link and Bluetooth. Players can receive in-game audio from a PlayStation Link-connected device while listening to audio from a separate Bluetooth-enabled device for music, voice chat or other content.
This allows game audio from one compatible device and audio from a separate Bluetooth device to be used at the same time.
Pulse Elevate Can Be Used Away From the Desktop
Although Pulse Elevate is designed to fit into a desktop gaming setup, Sony has also built portability into the system.
Pulse Elevate features a built-in rechargeable battery, allowing the speakers to be used with compatible portable devices. Players can connect them to PlayStation Portal through PlayStation Link or use Bluetooth with a smartphone or another supported mobile device.
The included charging docks make it easy to return the speakers to a desktop gaming setup after portable use.
Sony has not provided battery life figures in its announcement, so it remains unclear how long Pulse Elevate will operate between charges.
Players Can Customize the Pulse Elevate Audio Setup
Pulse Elevate speakers feature built-in volume controls and can be adjusted for horizontal and vertical positioning in a desktop setup.
Additional software controls will be available through supported system menus. On PS5, users will be able to adjust EQ, sidetone, volume and microphone mute settings.
Sony also plans to provide these customization options on PC, although the company notes that PC options will become available after launch.
Together, the physical adjustments and software controls provide several ways to customize the speakers’ positioning and audio settings for a desktop gaming setup.

Pulse Elevate Brings a New Audio Option to PlayStation Gaming
Pulse Elevate introduces a new type of product to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation audio accessory lineup. Instead of another headset or pair of earbuds, the company is bringing planar magnetic drivers, PlayStation Link connectivity and gaming-focused voice communication to a wireless speaker system.
The speakers combine PS5 support, Tempest 3D AudioTech compatibility, PC and Mac connectivity, PlayStation Portal support, Bluetooth and portable use through a rechargeable battery. The first units are scheduled to arrive from November 12, 2026, although exact availability will depend on the country and retailer.
For players preparing their PlayStation setup or planning future digital purchases, Baxity Store’s PlayStation section offers PlayStation vouchers in multiple supported regions and denominations. These digital codes can be used to add funds to a compatible PlayStation Store account for eligible digital purchases. Because PlayStation vouchers are region-specific, buyers should make sure the voucher region matches their PlayStation account before purchasing.
