Cryptocurrency deposit option in Skrill & NETELLER was added in 2015. In mid-2018 they introduced crypto trading service inside their payment systems. More of that, not even cryptocurrency, but the equivalent value of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, etc. However, one cannot send coins outside the system, so we cannot call it a full-fledged crypto service.
On May 23, 2019, changes to the rules for using this service took effect. Here is what has changed:
- It is now possible to send coins between accounts within the Skrill system.
- Skrill added the opportunity to create a crypto reserve. Choose a coin, determine the amount you want to regularly spend on the purchase of this coin and the date of purchase. Once done, the coin will be automatically redeemed at the market price according to the set parameters.
- Skrill and NETELLER added EOS and Lumens XLM coins.
- According to clauses 9.6 and 9.7, Skrill has the right to use your crypto assets at their discretion in case there is a suspicion of fraud. In such a case, the service will be suspended, and your crypto assets sold to repay losses caused to the system. NETELLER has no such clauses yet.
While using the crypto service, please note that the fee for buying and selling is 1.5% in both directions. A little expensive, huh?
